The EPT and APPT Event of PokerStars

PokerStars is sending out their members to two different tournaments to represent the site. PokerStars, one of the main sponsors of the European poker and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour is sending out their members to the 5,400 pounds EPT London at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino from September 25th, 2007-September 29th, 2007 and the APPT Seoul at the Sheraton Walkerhill in South, Korea from September 28th, 2007-September 30th, 2007.

PokerStars has aggressively promoted the events both online and in the Asian continent by encouraging players to try to qualify for the events. The 2005 world series of poker Main Event champion joe hachem already confirmed his participation for APPT Korea and other Team PokerStars will also participate in the event.

Hachem's presence is important in the event because he is from Australia, which is in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, PokerStars sent daniel negreanu, Vanessa Rousso and other team members to the first APPT event that was held in Manila, Philippines in August.

The local media in Seoul are already running articles on Hachem. This is the inaugural year for the APPT so it could use as much help as it can receive. Despite the success of Asian born poker pros, poker is still a relative unknown in Asia.

The APPT event in Seoul is the second of the three APPT poker tournaments in Asia. The grand final of the APPT poker events will take place in Sydney, Australia from December 13th, 2007-December 16th, 2007.

The EPT is currently busy with several poker events in Europe. The EPT in London is the second poker event of the 4th year of the EPT, which has a total of ten events. Player participation has steadily grown for every season of the European Poker Tour. EPT officials are hoping that player participation will be even bigger this year.
