Possibly The Biggest Poker Tournament Ever

Party poker Monster is likely to feature the biggest prize pool in the history of poker, whether online or live, and best of all, most of it is free.

The Party Poker Monster is a series of freerolls that will take place over the next 11 months. 32 weekly $100,000 guaranteed freerolls, eight monthly $1 million guaranteed freerolls and a grand final with a minimum prize pool of $5 million will be held.

There are different ways by which players can qualify for the weekly freerolls. Special Monster Sit and Go tournaments and Monster Multi-table tournaments are also available in addition to the satellite tournaments where players can win cash prizes. Players can also qualify by being one of the biggest PartyPoints earners or by participating in a Monster Jackpot hand.

The grand finals for the Party Poker Monster will be played online until the estimated 8000 players are cut to just six. The final six players will then battle face to face in South America to play for a yet unknown amount of money.

There is no exact figure yet for the total prize, however, PartyPoker started the prize pool at $5 million and have been constantly adding a percentage from Monster qualifiers and the Bad Beat Jackpot. The prize pool currently stands at $8.5 million.
