Mizzi Triumphs at the Tournament Titan Poker Event

On December 12th, 2007, Internet poker player Sorel Mizzi has a lot of bad press to contend following in the heels of his run-in with Full Tilt, together with Chris Vaughan, the former managing editor of Bluff Magazine. Both men were caught cheating at online poker event at Full Tilt.

They were both penalized from the incident. This time around, it was more positive for Canadian player Mizzi, who won the largest sit'n'go poker event, the Tournament Titan. Mizzi was able to outwit 19 other participants. He won $200,000 and a slot at the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Titan Poker said that the tournament, which showcased a guaranteed cash pool of one million dollars, was the biggest and the richest sit'n'go poker tournament ever held on the World Wide Web. Players qualified for the event by reaching the final table at a difficult group of cash poker tournaments or by winning the Player Points race held by the well-known online poker room.

It took more that one year for the top class list to be completed, with Mizzi who uses the online screen name "Imper1um" making the list. Although under twenty-one, Mizzi has already made a good name for himself by winning and consistently being one of the top finishers in both land and Web poker events, amassing an estimated cash wins of half a million dollars in his young career.
