Vanessa Rousso to Host the Big Slick Boot Camp

Team PokerStars Pro member Vanessa Rousso is headed to the state of New Hampshire. Currently in 4th place on the Women's all-time money with more than $2.4 million dollars in poker tournament winnings, Rousso will share some of her techniques with local poker lovers at her Big Slick Boot Camp at the Granite State Poker Club on April 5th, 2010.

The six-hour poker camp is being called an "instructional experience" for poker players who want to improve their skills and take it to the next level. The cost of the poker camp is $299 dollars. Rousso first gained fame in 2006 when she became the youngest female poker player ever to make a WSOP (world series of poker) circuit event final table.

Last year, Rousso made news again, defeating some of the best names in the poker circuit and becoming the first female poker player to make it to the final table of the 2009 NBC Heads-Up event. Including online poker tournament winnings, Rousso has earned more than $3.6 million dollars in her poker career to date.

Rousso has created a poker curriculum that permits participants to learn high-level poker techniques and gaming theory in an interactive environment that uses simulations. Rousso said that her passion aside from playing poker is teaching different strategies in the game. She added that she loves watching her students understand what she is teaching them.

Of the fifty poker players who recently participated in Rousso's poker Boot Camp at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi, eight cashed in poker tournaments earning more than $50,000 dollars.
