Tucson Youngster Wins Spot in 2007 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure

Some people naturally have tremendous luck - case in point, 21-year old Tucson resident, Erik Renstrom, only needed a pair of fours to win a free trip to the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Caribbean to compete in the 2007 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, set to run from January 5-10, 2007.

Restrom says that he is excited to compete against some of the best poker players in the world in the quest to win the tournament that has an estimated prize pool of over $1 million.

"That's enough money to pay off my student loans, travel and play for higher stakes in upcoming tournaments," he said.

According to Renstrom, he has been playing high-stakes poker for about 4 years. For this lucky break, he played in a double shootout competition that originally hosted 108 hopefuls. He actually thought that his pair of fours was "not so good".

"But it turned out to be good enough to win," he said.
