TeenPatti.com Sends 2 More to the 2006 WSOP

TeenPatti.com awarded seats to play in the World Series of Poker 2006 to two more winners as it concluded on June 30th. The winners were participants in the hot young website's month long free-roll tournament. The free-roll tournaments were sponsored by Taj Systems, Inc., the software developer responsible for designing the Internet version of Teen Patti, a popular Indian card game.

DroppnDeuces was the first lucky winner of June, winning TeenPatti.com's month-long Points Tourney. DroppnDeuces is set to compete with a throng of poker pros in event #37 of the WSOP at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas to be held July 25th. DroppnDeuces emulated last month's winner Ziggy Holmes as he consistently ranked high in a series of daily tournaments where top 10 players are awarded points based on their finishing positions.

TeenPatti.com's coveted June Free-Roll Tournament was bagged by a player going by the name Versoe. The valuable prize is coveted by poker players around the world, online and offline --- a $10, 000 seat to play in the Main Event of the 2006 WSOP. In the closing hands of his final tournament Versoe came lagging behind two players, each having almost four times as much chips than he does. However, in a revenge of the underdog move, he took down both opponents and bagged the win. Versoe is now part of the TeenPatti team at the WSOP.

The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event will be kicking off on July 28 and has seen a record number of participants by far. The pool is now in excess of $60 million, and the last man standing is expected to take home at least 8 figures. Last year's WSOP Main Event paid out $7.5 million to the tournament champion out of the over $50 million purse. Last year's main event champion was Joe Hachem of Australia, who is competing again this year to defend his title.
