Stuart Paterson : "The Donator"

Back

Joining the poker scene, Stuart Paterson has already achieved much in a short period of time. He was born in Freeport, Grand Bahamas but moved to Boca Raton, Florida at an early age so he could attend school in America.

Paterson got into poker via an online sports book where he wagered. The diligent Paterson spent hours working on his game. He went to FullTiltPoker where he started to hone his poker game, playing against the respected Phil Ivey and John D'Agostino.

Josh Arieh and Michael Mezrachi befriended him and advanced his game greatly. He adopted these poker veterans as mentors, elevating his game to another level.

A car accident left Stuart Paterson paralyzed and tied to a wheelchair but he didn't let that hold back his poker. He has nearly $200,000 of earnings already.

His first big win was when he claimed sixth place at the Borgota Poker Classic. This was his best ever effort in a casino. Paterson followed that up with a money finish at the 2006 World Series of Poker. Nicknamed "The Donator" you can find him playing online a great deal, especially at FullTiltPoker.

While away from poker, Paterson likes to follow the Miami Dolphins and Heat. Recently earning himself a degree in business management from the Florida Atlantic University, Stuart Paterson would like to make a transition into business after a few more years at poker.
