The Simon Poker Tournament Returns to Dublin

The city of Dublin is once again the host of one of the most popular poker events in Europe, the Simon poker tournament when it returns under the European Poker Tour on November 3rd, 2007. The tournament will be held at the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

The tournament was attended by 200 players last year, with numerous corporate and private donors, raised a total of 50,000 euros. Some of the players that participated in the event are Donnacha O'Dea, Jesse May, Scott Gray, Julian Gardner, "Mad" Marty Wilson, Dave Colclough, Kevin O'Connell, Nick Leeson, Ken Doherty, Matthew Stevens, and Stephen Hendry.

The spokesperson for the organizers of the event, Padraig Parkinson said that the event was a huge success last year. A lot of players and officials from the poker circuit helped to make the event successful. Like John Duthie from European Poker Tour and Charles Harbourne of the Merrion Casino Club. It is a good opportunity to test your skills with some of the circuit's biggest names without having to spend your every penny.

The buy-in cost for the event is 300 euros+Euro 30 registration and 100 euros of the buy-in cost goes to Simon Dublin charity and the remaining 200 euros to the prize pool. EPT Head John Duthie said that they are happy to help out in the tournament and he looks forward to participating in the tournament.
