Sabina Gadecki Parts Ways with the World Poker Tour

On May 9, 2007, the World Poker Tour television series, which will debut their 6th season later this year, will be shown on GSN for the first time. It is turning out to be like an episode of NEXT on MTV regarding their problem with the WPT series female hostess.

According to industry sources, the present hostess of the World Poker Tour series, Sabina Gadecki, will not return for the 6th season of the show after only 1 season stint with the WPT. Gadecki's fate is the same as that of the previous hostess of the show, Courtney Friel.

Courtney Friel was removed from the show after just one season. The World Poker Tour has yet to make an official statement regarding Gadecki's rumored departure from the show. But some insiders say that Gadecki and Friel failed to connect or have chemistry with the audience or even with the players on the show compared to Shana Hiatt.

Hiatt stayed with the show about the game of poker for 3 years. Hiatt left the WPT shows after a set of disappointing events that took place which later became the cause of a lawsuit between Hiatt and the World Poker Tour organization.

No replacements have been considered for Gadecki's position yet but there is a rumor that the announcement for her replacement will be made on the same day that her departure from the show will be announced.

The first game for the 6th season of the World Poker Tour will be the Mirage Poker Showdown, which will start on May 14, 2007. In other WPT related news, officials announced the addition of new tournament stops in Barcelona, Turks and Caicos and in Biloxi, Mississippi. There are some themed invitation tournaments that will be announced in the future.
