Ram Vaswani - The "Crazy Horse"

Back

Ram "Crazy Horse" or "The Looks" Vaswani is one of Europe’s best poker players. Originally a snooker player, he left the game when he found he had a talent for poker. Ram Vaswani has done very well in such European tournaments like Late Night Poker and the European Poker Tour where he reached three final tables and won one.

After trying to become a professional snooker player, Ram Vaswani realized he had more success and enjoyed playing poker more. After making some final tables without success, Vaswani broke through at the 1999 Master Classics of Poker tournament which was held in Amsterdam. The success here was crucial to Ram Vaswani’s confidence and he followed it up with a third placing at the 2001 $3,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker.

Most of his success has come in Europe such as the 2000 European Superbowl, the 2002 French Championship and the 2004 European Poker Tour Irish Masters in 2004, as well as in the 2002 World Series.

Vaswani followed that up with more final table finishes such as three in 2004, but it is Europe where he has had the most success. He won the 2004 Dublin final on the EPT and followed that up with a second in Copenhagen and fifth in Deauville.

Additionally he won the 2006 888.com Poker Nations Cup. Ram Vaswani’s winnings amount to around $2.3 million.

He also writes poker articles for the Hendon Mob website as well as playing online poker at Full Tilt Poker.
