Potowatomi Bingo and Casino Poker Room Packed

Since its opening in 1991 Potowatomi Bingo and Casino has become a landmark in downtown Milwaukee. Poker Manager Joe Midwest said the place is packed with action.

Because of the popularity of this poker room patrons often encounter waits. Currently plans are being made for expansion to 17 tables, which will be implemented by the end of 2006. In the meantime steps have been taken control the traffic: players with Fire Keepers Cards are given vibrating pagers so they are free to enjoy the rest of the facilities while they wait.

The poker room is located on the second floor of the casino and currently offers ten tables in a smoke-free atmosphere. Tableside beverage service is available as well as food at the snack bar.

Regular games include limit hold'em and no limit hold'em, the most popular being $2-$4; higher stakes action is available as well. There are currently no tournaments schedule because the poker room is so busy.

The casino is a 256,000 sq. ft. facility offering gambling action 24/7 with over 1,600 slots, the largest bingo parlor in the Midwest, and a variety of live table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and let it ride.

Comfortable chairs, low-key halogen lighting, an LCD board, several big screens TVs, and an excellent ventilation system create the perfect atmosphere for players.

There are even bigger and better expansion plans for poker at Potowatomi in 2007, which should prove to be very exciting.
