New Poker Movie Lucky You Starring Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana

The movie Lucky You, which opened on May 4, 2007 is a story about a professional poker player with bad luck in love who is attempting to win the World Series of Poker Tournament. The movie, Lucky You, is directed by Curtis Hanson, the director of LA Confidential and written by Eric Roth.

Pro poker player, Huck Cheever, played by Eric Bana, is also trying to win the heart of Las Vegas singer, Billie Offer, played by Drew Barrymore. Billie is a young singer from Bakersfield with more heart than actual talent. Huck is a troubled poker player who usually lets his emotions interfere with his performance at the final table, especially when he is against his father, Poker Legend LC Cheever, played by Robert Duvall.

The one common trait that Billie and Huck share is a talent for reading people. The main difference between them is how they use that talent. While Huck's talent empowers him to defeat his opponents at poker games and helps him avoid emotional commitment, Billie uses her gift to see the emotional turmoil of others and help them in their own way.

When these two meet, sparks fly. If Huck is going to win Billie's affections, he must learn to change his life and play his cards right.
