Mizzi Signs Up With Betfair Poker

On February 20th, 2008 Betfair Poker has once again proven that they have a good eye on seeing a good poker talent like Arsene Wenger. They have just announced that they have signed up Sorel Mizzi. Mizzi is considered to be one of the most gifted online poker players in the world and is just the right person to represent Betfair together with Annette Obrestad.

Widely known in the online poker circuit as Imper1um, Mizzi can be spotted at some of the highest stake money games and SNG's. He has been awarded the Pocketfives online player of the year award and is a regular in the High Stakes Showdown on Pokerstars. He is also the champion of the Sit and Go tournament that was held in Titan Poker.

Mizzi became known in the circuit last year when he finished in third place in the Irish Open, winning $600,000 for his good play. He was able to also go the distance in the 2007 world series of poker and is predicted to get a bracelet in the next five years.

Mizzi commented that 2007 is a good year and with the help of Betfair, he and Obrestad will be able to go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in Poker. The head of Betfair, Bruce Stubbs commented that he is proud to have a player like Sorel Mizzi on Betfair. Mizzi is one of the top players in the world and is sure to do well in the near future.
