Loose Cannon and VC Players Lounge Opens in London

February 9, 2007, one of the biggest and newest gaming rooms in London, The Loose Cannon and VC Players Lounge opened with an evening of poker games and cocktails. The tournament even featured a $10,000 cash pool. One of the brains behind this club is Roy Houghton, a respected poker player in his own right. The Loose Cannon establishment is located at the center of London at the Cannon Street Railway terminal.

The Loose Cannon features different casino table games including poker, backgammon and even chess. There are even poker tables placed on the balcony of the Loose Cannon. The Victor Chandler Group, whose name is featured at the VC Players Lounge has provided the $10,000 prize money. Just 3 of over the 200 players who have participated in the event are Joe Beevers, Iwan Jones and Marc Goodwin.

The final result of the poker VC Event is as follows (from 1st to 10th place) Matthew Wilson, Alina Salnikova, Jason Cajigas, Ashley Rae, John Raab, Sam Kiani, John Ionnou, Liv Boeree, Jonathan Blum and Osman Ramadan. As a well-respected poker player, Alina Salnikova, the 2nd place player, received an offer of sponsorship immediately after the event.

Roy Houghton commented that he is very happy with the turnout for the evening. He also said that they are doing their best to make the poker players happy.
