Largest Poker Room in Atlantic City Takes Off June 30

Atlantic City, NJ --- Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is set to launch the largest poker room in Atlantic City on June 30, 2006, promoting itself as a premier poker destination.

Borgata is a joint venture of gaming giants Boyd Gaming Corporation and MGM MIRAGE. It is located at Renaissance Pointe in Atlantic City.

Borgata's poker room will boast 85 tables with a 21,500 square-foot area poker room that will feature a High Limit Room with eighteen-tables for the high rollers. Another feature will be a nine-table tournament area that will offer bleacher type seating for tournament viewing. In addition, there will also be a 58-table Main Poker Room that will offer live poker action equipped with plasma televisions. As a bonus, a safety deposit box room is also included by Borgata in its amenities for its poker customers. One of East Coast's more popular gaming clubs, Borgata will offer the largest variety of games and limits in Atlantic City including all the variations of Texas Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud and Omaha.

Borgata has lined up an exciting array of events to celebrate the opening on June 30. The WIP Grudge Match Final table will be held at Borgata on the launch date in the poker room, featuring opposing WIP Sports Talk hosts Angelo Cataldi and Howard Eskin. Participants also have a chance to win a share of $25,000 for siding with Team Eskin or Team Cataldi in the poker tournament.

Another event is the Borgata Holiday Weekend Tournament Schedule from June 30-July 4, 2006 in lieu of the fourth of July weekend where Borgata will host daily tournaments in the new 85-table Poker Room.

There is also the Poker Opening Celebration Electronics Giveaway from July 1-4, 2006 for all My Borgata privilege cardholders playing in the poker room. One winner will be announced every hour from 11AM - 8PM. Electronics to be given away include Sony DVD recorders, Sony Cybershot digital cameras, Sony portable DVD players, a Sony TV set and iPod Nanos.

From July 5 - July 20, 2006 is the Borgata Summer Poker Open Tournament. The 16-day, 41-event tournament will feature super satellites, second chance cash, and sit-and-go tournaments. The Championship will last for four days at the end of the tournament season.

This marks the first phase of Borgata's two-part $525 million expansion. The second part is scheduled to complete in fourth quarter 2007 with the debut of a $325 million hotel tower to be named The Water Club at Borgata.
