Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier was dubbed the nickname by highly respected Mike Sexton for her intense play against any opponent on the felt. Mercier is fresh in the professional poker playing field, just starting out full time since 2004.

Isabelle Mercier graduated from University of Montreal obtaining a law degree where she would work in commercial law for a year before her big move to Paris. There she would attain her Masters degree in law at the Sorbonne University for international law. Meanwhile she became the poker rooms manager of the Aviation Club de France and as she was doing a fantastic job, others noticed it as well and nominated Mercier twice for the "European Poker Awards" in the Staff Person of the Year category.

Once Isabelle Mercier decided to pursue the other side of the felt; she freed herself of all possessions and now doesn't have an apartment anywhere but lives out of her suitcase. Before she became a full time professional poker player she entered in tournaments and succeeded in adding titles to her name such as runner-up in the €800 No Limit Hold'em event at the Amsterdam Master Classics of Poker in 2002.

In 2004 she began right away to make her mark when she was the champion of the World Poker Tour "Ladies Night Out II." Then reaching the final table in the Amsterdam Master Classics of Poker 2004 No Limit Hold'em event she finished in fifth place. A year later in 2005 Mercier reached the final table in the Main Event Euro Finals of Poker again in the No Limit Hold'em eliminated at seventh place.

Again reaching final table but this time at 10th place at the European Poker Tour Grand Final in the No Limit Hold'em event and the following year she finished in seventh. At the 2005 World Poker Tour Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas Mercier finished in the money being the last woman left at 28th in the $25,000 Main Event No Limit Hold'em Championship. At the 2005 World Series of Poker Mercier finished in the money in three events and the following year in two events.

As of 2006, Isabelle Mercier's total live tournament winnings exceed $582,000.
