Craig Gets Hooked On Poker While On Set

Poker seems to be carrying over its contagious charm even to Tinseltown. Daniel Craig, the lead actor playing James Bond for the first time in the most recent installation of the 007 franchise, is being hooked onplaying poker. It seems that the long hours of filming at a poker table in Casino Royale is not lost on him.

The Blonde Brit enjoyed playing poker so much on the set that he carried on even long after the director has shouted "cut!". Craig was placed under the tutelage of poker experts in order to look convincing while playing poker. British Poker pro John Duthie was even present on set to coach and give advice on Craig's gambling scenes.

In one of the scenes in the movie, Bond has to bluff at the poker table while playing against the villain opposite him.

"Let's just say there were some extra-curricular sessions that went on off-set that were all down to the cast and crew," he told the paper.

007's Casino Royale is set to hit the big screen in November and Craig has already signed to do two more Bond movies. Craig "inherited" the role from Pierce Brosnan who starred in the most recent Bond Film, Die Another Day, released in 2002.
