zubs1aa Wins 2nd Bodog Poker Open

On October 9th, 2008, the main poker event of the 2nd Bodog Poker Open was held over the weekend and the champion from the 477 participants was zubs1aa. The event featured a buy-in cost of $500 and attracted some of the well-known players all over the world like Bodog Team members David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande and Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo.

Among the playing field in Sunday's Main Event were Thayer "thay3r" Rasmussen, Eric "Rizen" Lynch, Zachary "CrazyZachary" Clark, Jon "PearlJammer" Turner, Garrett "GBecks" Beckman, and Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman. Bonomo lead the Bodog team charge throughout the Main Event. The top 10 finishers in the event are: 1st place-zubs1aa with $75,000, 2nd place- El Rubio with $45,000, 3rd place-cmizzles with $28,500, 4th place-flipflopn with $21,000, 5th place-Justin58 with $16,500, 6th place-Hasn82 with $13,500, 7th place, SHiFtyFiNGeR with $10,500, 8th place-ArmyDrill with $6,600 and 9th place-Justin Bonomo with $5,100.

The win in the Bodog Poker Open II capped off a very successful week for zubs1aa. The online poker player won a total of 3 $100 qualifiers into the Main Event. For his offers, he took home a total of $1,000 plus a $500 Main Event buy-in. His $75,000 win was his 2nd cash in the Bodog Poker Open, he finished 7th in Event number five. The Bodog poker tournament series shelled out more than $730,000 in prize pool in fourteen total tournaments and attracted 3,539 participants. In comparison, the first Bodog Poker Open featured a total cash pool of $675,000.
