Venetian Casino and Caesars Palace Offers Poker Events

Both the Venetian Casino and the Caesars Palace have once again been selected the same month for their poker event series. Is it a coincidence or not? The Caesar's Poker Room manager said that it is both yes or no. He said that when they schedule poker events, they examine and study on what is in the best interest of the organization and the players.

The Caesars casino recently announced the schedule of their 3rd Mega Stack event series, which will start on February 1st, 2009 and will end on February 26th, 2009. The Venetian announced the schedule of their Deep Stack Extravaganza V series last week, consisting of twenty-four tournaments from February 2nd, 2009-February 25th, 2009.

The last Deep Stack Extravaganza and Mega Stack tournaments were both in November. The Venetian's Deep Stack series features seventeen $330 buy-in events, mostly no-limit holdem event. But it does host single Omaha 8-or-better events, H.O.R.S.E. and pot-limit Omaha events at that level in the series. The bigger priced events are at $550 and $1,070, with the main event priced at $2,500. Caesars' Mega Stack series features sixteen $225 buy-in events, all in no-limit holdem.

One of those poker events is a couples poker event on February 14th, 2009. The bigger priced events at Caesars are at $330 and $540, with its championship event at $1,070. At the cheapest tournament of their respective poker series, participants began with 12,500 in total chips at Caesars and 12,000 chips at the Venetian.

Last November, the Mega Stack attracted between 90-100 players for its most affordable poker events. Deep Stack Extravaganza often hosted player field of over three hundred participants with a peak of 452 participants competing on November 20th, 2008.
