Robin Hood Joins Team PokerStars

The world's largest poker tournament website, PokerStars.com has announced the latest addition in their roster of poker pros, renowned poker player Barry Greenstein.

Known in the poker world as the "Robin Hood of poker" because of his philanthropic nature, Barry Greenstein donates 100 percent of his tournament winnings to charity. Greenstein is also ranked among the highest money winners in the World Poker Tour, and he is a well-respected figure in the poker world as well.

The money that he donates are divided and given out to a number of charities including Children Incorporated, a charity that helps children in 21 countries the world over.

"Since the last three winners of the WSOP main event are on Team PokerStars, and I plan to win it, I decided to show ultimate confidence in myself and join PokerStars ahead of time," said Greenstein on joining team PokerStars.

Greenstein has under his belt 20 WSOP money finishes, two gold bracelets, and two recent first-place finishes at the 2005 World Poker Open and the 2006 World Poker Tour Invitational.

"There are few princes in the world of poker, but Barry is one of them," poker room manager for PokerStars.com Lee Jones said. "Not only is he a true ambassador for the sport, he brings integrity, talent and true passion for poker to Team PokerStars."
