On May 18, 2007, the retired ballers' society showed their strength to support Michael Irvin's Hall of Fame Charity poker tournament, held at the Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino facility in Hollywood.

Michael Irvin, the Fort Lauderdale resident, the University of Miami outstanding football player and a Hall of Famer Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver held the poker games at the tournament.

The main beneficiary of the tournament was the PlayMaker Charities and Foundation. DJ Irie of the Miami Heat provided the entertainment for the poker event.

Michael Irvin wore an ebony suit and a shirt with chalk pinstripe design. Irvin hit some golf ball with visitors in a mini-putt range at the tournament. He even chatted with some old rivals and teammates and conducted a press conference outside of the tournament venue.

Among the former football players that participated in the event was Miami Dolphin Mark Higgs, a roommate of Michael Irvin's, New York Jets Dwayne White, Washington Redskin Darrell Green and Buffalo Bill Cornelius Bennett.
