OshKosh Woman Charged for Involving 13 Year Old Girl in Strip Poker

Dawn M. Hamilton, a 22-year old woman from Oshkosh, Wisconsin might face up to 22 years in prison because of a game of strip poker.

Hamilton was charged with one count of causing a child under 13 to engage in a sexual act as well as the felony of bail jumping in Winnebago County Circuit Court on December 19th.

Should Hamilton be convicted, she could pay $20,000 in fines in addition to her 22-year sentence.

The 13-year old girl involved in the act told Oshkosh police officers that she was invited to play a game of strip poker at a residence in the 300 block of West 15th Avenue on December 16th.

During the game, Hamilton and a man were present. According to the 13-year old girl, by the end of the strip poker game, Hamilton was only wearing her underwear and a pair of shorts. The girl added that she felt uncomfortable with the scenario.

During questioning, Hamilton admitted to having played the game of strip poker.

Eric Sparr, Winnebago County Assistant District Attorney insisted on a cash bond due to Hamilton's pending felony case in Outagamie County. Daniel Bisset, Winnebago County Court Commissioner then ordered that Hamilton be held in Winnebago County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond. She is due back in court for a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 28th.
