Isle Casino and Racing Park at Pompano Park Debuts Poker Room

On May 25, 2007, the Isle Casino and Racing Park at Pompano Park debuted their brand new 34 table poker room.

The Isle Casino's new poker facility is located on the 2nd floor of the Pompano Beach's Casino property. The new facility replaces the poker room that is beside the grandstand casino establishment.

On Monday, the Isle opened some restaurants and entertainment facilities on the 2nd floor of their casino, aside from the pari-mutuel wagering windows and a stadium that can accommodate 650 people that is in the horse racing track.

Isle of Casino's General Manager and the Corporate Vice President of Racino Operations, Doug Shipley, commented that the casino can now be classified as a gaming and eating destination.

Guests can enjoy themselves at the slot machines, eat at one of the restaurants, and play poker in the casino's poker room or bet on the racing tracks in Florida. The poker room in the Isle Casino is open from noon to midnight on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Isle racing track also starts on those day at 7:25 p.m.

The pari-mutuels in Florida can only offer their poker rooms when there are live events. A law in the legislator passed this month would allow the pari-mutuels in Florida to have poker rooms open everyday. The revision would take into effect after the bill is signed by Gov. Charlie Crist.

The Isle Casino in Pompano Beach is one of the casinos that is owned and operated by the Isle of Capri Casinos in St. Louis.
