Hi,
I have a question, I just saw the Elizabet Taylor comercial where 2 guys are playing poker. The jest of it is that the one doesn't have enough money to cover the bet, he has all his money on the table, and therefore is about to lose the bot. Elizabeth then puts one of her diamonds on the table to cover the bet, and he wins the had. Is this how the rules actually work? If I am playing poker, and have all my money in the pot, can somebody raise the bet, and essentially bet me out of the game? If not, has this ever been the case? If so, I can't see how a game of poker could be played as the person with the most money at the table would always win.. I appreciate any comments. |

If you have all your chips at the table or one of the players at the table
decided to raise more than what you got left to play with, you'll be forced to place all the chips you currently have. That is called going "all-in", some times being called "tap out". You simply place as much as you have and still playing. you will not get out of the game. In conclusion, all-in/tap-out means that the player bets all of his remaining money. If there is only one player left playing at the table, the remaining cards will be dealt. Needless to say, there will be no more betting rounds. If there are more than two players left playing at the table, there will be a seperate pot for those players and the betting rounds will continue as usual. Important to mention, if you win, you will get only the first pot that was created. The one you played with before the pot got splitted and the second highest hand gets the rest. needless to say, if you loose, winner gets it all ![]() Hope that helps, feel free to ask more questions and welcome to pokerteam.com! |

Nothing is worse than sitting at the final table with Solon magrizos. While I have tons of poker experience both in ring games and at tournaments, something in me freezes up when I’m deep into a heads up hand with him. Maybe it’s the glare. He just seems so intense and focused. Nothing fazes him. No hat, no glasses and yet he gives nothing away. I would love to have his patience; he sits there for hours and barely moves a muscle. The guy has absolutely no tells and he can always make a close read on any player. I’ve seen him throw away quad tens on the turn. Who throws away quad tens? Yes, it was the right call. But how many people have the self control to throw away a hand like that. The guy he folded to went absolutely nuts. He had quad Queens. Any other person would have paid him off. Not Solon magrizos though, he’s just too good.
