Fight Challenge Poker Event Series of Bodog Begins

On August 9th, 2007, the Fight Challenge poker tournament of Bodog will give players the opportunity will to fight it out with mixed martial arts fighters from the comforts of their own homes.

Instead of facing the fighters in a ring, gamblers can face the players in an online poker event and win thousands of dollars. There are six preliminary tournaments that will be held once a month. The tournaments will end January 17th, 2008.

The buy-in cost for each qualifier is $5.50 dollars. The first tournament started at exactly 5:05 p.m. PDT. The top 30% percent of the qualifiers in each tournament will be given corresponding points depending how well they played. Prizes range from autographed gloves to swag bags, which will be given to players who will have finished in the top six.

The Bodog fighters will play in the six qualifying tournaments and are recognizable with their special avatars. Points received during the qualifying tournaments will rank the participants at the leader board of the tournament.

After six months of competition, the 30% percent of the participants at the leader board will fight it out in a final poker tournament by January 31st, 2008. Bodog fighters are excluded from the event.

The prize for the champion in the final event is a vacation for two and tickets to a Bodog mixed martial arts event or any event. Bodog officials will also give the winner Bodog fight equipment worth $5,000 dollars.

The players who will finished in the top five will also received different prizes like a plasma television and a poker table with Bodog logo.
