When you play online poker, it is important to keep poker etiquette in mind. With money and pride at stake people can lose their cool so it is important online poker etiquette is abided by so the game is played in a good and friendly atmosphere.

Here are some things regarding poker etiquette you should have in mind when playing online poker.

Keep it down - The less you talk the better. Doesn’t matter if you are out of the hand - you still shouldn’t yap away. Taunting your opponents especially after they lose a hand or you win one is a big no-no.

No Backchat - Once a hand is done, let it go. No need to discuss what is already in the past.

Multitasking - If you are going to be playing on more then one online poker table at once then concentrate what is going on.

Pipe Down - When you fold a hand, don't tell anyone what your hand was.

Don’t Linger - Don’t be the person everyone is always waiting for because you are on the phone or rushing off to do something in the middle of a hand.

Be Patient - Not everyone is a poker expert. Some are just learning the game. If that is so, be gentle on them. You were once an online poker beginner as well.

Keep Your Cool - Don’t snap as people get aggressive and rude just because things aren’t going your way.

English Please - Only chat in English. If you are doing so in another language the other players will get suspicious even if there is nothing untoward with what you are writing.
