Estonia to Open Gaming Market to the Online Poker Industry

Still riding the high from the Baltic Poker Festival, the country of Estonia is preparing to open its doors to the online poker industry. Beginning this year, the citizens of the Estonia, which is a country in Northern Europe, will be able to enjoy online poker on the state-based Olympic Casino group gaming platform, which was created by gaming industry giant Playtech.

Mor Weizer, the executive manager of Playtech, said on January 11th, 2010, that they are very happy with this opportunity to begin their partnership with Olympic as the leading casino entertainment provider in Eastern and Central Europe. Weizer also said that they firmly believe that the Olympic Casino group is the best partner in their plan to solidify their presence in the area.

In 2011, the gaming law will be change again, permitting international operators into Estonia as long as they are to satisfy the requirements set by the Estonian government.
