Erick Lindgren - The "E-DOG"

Professional poker player Erick Lindgren was in high school a basketball MVP and All-League quarterback, but he let a different sport take over in college, POKER.

Erick Lindgren, or "E-DOG" as he is sometimes called around the felt, was born in Burney in Northern California. Gambling first caught his eye when he joined friends at an Indian Casino. From then on he followed into a Blackjack dealer job at the age of 19.

During his time as a dealer he began to learn how to play poker. Lindgren fast grasp of the game resulted in his full time job as a professional poker player by the age of 20. He continued to work as a prop player in the San Pablo Casino in California.

This 30 year old already has two World Poker Tour Championships, a WPT "Player of the Year" award in 2004, and many other wins under his belt. His breakout year was 2003 when he won the $3,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event at the Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic in December of 2002 and then ten months later at the Ultimatebet.com Poker Classic II $4,000 No Limit Hold'em Final Day he took over and won the his first World Poker Tour Championship.

Erick Lindgren was also the million dollar first prize winner of Poker Million III in 2004 and in 2005 he carried off $225,000 from the L.A. Poker Classic Professional Poker Tour in the No Limit Hold'em event. Recently he won the FullTiltPoker.net Pro Showdown at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas in June of 2006.

The month after that he placed second in the World Series of Poker $5,000 Short Handed No Limit Hold'em event. Among these incredible wins, Erick Lindgren has at least five final table appearances and finished in the money 12 times at WPT alone.

Lindgren is usually found playing cash games and joining up to eight high stake tables at a time.

His live tournament earnings accumulate to over $4,700,000 as of 2006.
