Caribbean Poker Adventure

The Caribbean Poker Adventure, a tropical poker tournament held each year in sultry settings such as cruise ships in the Bahamas, was first launched in 2004. Both the World Poker Tour and PokerStars co-sponsor the poker tournament.

Since its launch, the Caribbean Poker Adventure has granted millions in prizes, as well as the evident benefits of the sun-filled setting. The Caribbean Poker Adventure was first held on the Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas cruise ship, which brought poker players to some of the most exotic destinations around the world.

• 2005 - the Caribbean Poker Adventure took place in Bahamas' Paradise Island, exposing the Caribbean to its very first poker tournament.
• 2006 - poker players gathered at Bahamas' Paradise Island once more in order to experience the Caribbean Poker Adventure at the 5-star Atlantis Resort and Casino. Steve Paul-Ambrose was the winner, transforming his satellite into over $1 million.

This year the Caribbean Poker Adventure is to take place from January 4-11, 2007 at the 5-star Atlantis Resort and Casino yet again. The 2007 Caribbean Poker Adventure cash or freeroll winners will each receive a prize package amounting to $12,000.
