Alan Boston is not a well-known professional poker player by the nation, but a definite threat at the poker games table, he is a tough out at any tournament.

With ten years experience at the World Series of Poker, Boston is known especially for his 7-Card Stud skills. In 1993 he took third at the WSOP, but he found his best at the World Series of Poker in 1994 where he finished second.

He has had at least 11 final table standings at the WSOP. Four of them in 2002 where he had another third place in Seven-Card Stud, a fifth-place finish in the Half Stud/Half Hold'em tournament and two final tables in Limit Omaha and Omaha 8 or Better.

Boston is also known for his college basketball betting. He has appeared on a sport talk radio promotion called Beat Boston, featured in two magazines: ESPN the magazine and Outside the Lines. As well as in two books, one is The Odds and the other Lessons from Our Fathers.

Current tournament earnings for Alan Boston are about $300,000.
